President Chiang Kai-shek was the first president after the Constitution of the Republic of China was enacted. Through archive materials and historical relics, this exhibition presents his influence on important events during Taiwan’s development. |
Audio Guide Audio guides are available for free rental at the Information Desk on the Ground Floor (Central Hallway) of the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. To rent the device, please provide a valid ID (such as a passport) or a deposit of NT$1,000. The ID or deposit will be released upon the return of the device. The audio guide covers the Permanent Exhibition and is available in Mandarin, Taiwanese Taigi, Hakka, English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai.
Group Tours Please book at least seven days in advance. Group tours require a minimum of 10 participants and are available on weekdays, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes and is conducted in English, Japanese, or Mandarin.

This tour traces the origins and transformation of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, examining its surrounding landscape and the pervasive symbols of authority. We will delve into its unique architectural style and its evolving role in Taiwan’s ongoing journey toward transitional justice.
Participants will visit two permanent exhibitions—“Flowers of Freedom” and “President Chiang Kai-shek and the Republic of China”—which document the Taiwanese people’s struggle for democracy under authoritarian rule. Weather permitting, the tour also offers the opportunity to witness the ceremonial mounting and drills of the military honor guards. |

The tour explores the architecture and history of the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall alongside two permanent exhibitions: President Chiang Kai-shek and the Republic of China and Flowers of Freedom.
Tour Route: MRT station of Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall ➔ Archway and Square of Liberty ➔ Avenue of Democracy ➔ Main Hall ➔ The permanent exhibitions on the 1st Floor: (1) President Chiang Kai-shek and the Republic of China (2) Flowers of Freedom.
