National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

The students transform their learning and lived experiences into signals, giving them form through two-dimensional painting, printmaking, three-dimensional sculpture, animation and video, and design — each drawing from personal experience to create a collective artistic voice.

Founded in 1956, the May Painting Association of Taiwan, alongside the Ton Fan Art Group, marks a milestone in postwar modern art. Made up largely of National Taiwan Normal University Fine Arts alumni, it advanced abstract art and ink innovation.The 70th anniversary exhibition of the May Painting Association brings together 60 artists and around 140 works in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, highlighting cross-generational creativity and the evolution of Taiwanese art.

Chen Jiqing expresses his pursuit of beauty and his emotions through painting on canvas, leaving traces in time so that viewers can still feel that beauty and memory in his works. This exhibition features over a hundred oil paintings, including still lifes, magnificent landscapes, and poetic sketches. It is hoped that every viewer can find resonance in the works and feel the emotion and excitement brought by art.

This exhibition, jointly presented by 37 members of theTaiwan North Shore Arts Association, showcases nearly one hundred carefully selected works, encompassing oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, calligraphy, ceramics, pressed flowers, wrapped flowers, and jewelry design.Through two-dimensional and three-dimensional creations, the members demonstrate a spirit of transcending boundaries, free exploration, and daring innovation. The "Kun" in the exhibition title, "Soaring Dreams of Kun – Artistic Resounding Success," symbolizes the boundless potential from the sea to the sky and the soaring ambition, echoing the artists' creative philosophy of continuous breakthroughs and the pursuit of excellence.
