Front Archway
The main archway of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall stands 30 meters tall and 80 meters wide. Constructed primarily of white concrete to give the appearance of pure white marble, the structure features five entryways, six pillars, and eleven roofs. This 5-6-11 configuration represents the highest rank in the traditional architectural classification system. The roofs are covered with blue-glazed tiles and supported by layered dougong (bracket sets) beneath the eaves.
